Amazing Grace. The doctors had been telling us that our baby has a 1 in 20 chance of Down Syndrome. In order to know for sure, we would have to take Amniocentesis which is associated with a risk of miscarriage and other complications. To which, we declined. As parents-to-be, we aim to do the best for our baby. Eating a healthy diet, getting sufficient exercise, creating an environment that provide uplifting moods, educating the fetus through classical music, purchasing all the top quality gears. But the possibility of having a DS baby was beyond our control. We had to surrender our expectations, ditch our hopes and dreams and forgo what we deemed best. We had to give up whatever we were were holding and fall before Christ in weakness and helplessness and follow Him without any hinderances. This morning, I held my healthy daughter in my arms. She is so delicate. The feeling of her belonging to me, soemone I can call my own, is wonderful beyond words. Praise God again for His mercy and grace upon us.
