Paper accepted. Last Thursday, Jim B. called me during lunch to tell me of a good news. The paper we submitted to ISSCC conference was accepted. (For those of you that need more of a background, you can read my August 27, 2003 post under "Major Milestone Completed".) We had submitted the paper to a couple of other conferences including one held in Japan, but they brutally rejected it without any explanation. Quoting Jim, "I guess it was a blessing in disguise that the paper wasn't accepted before, since the ISSCC is the most selective and prestigious conference".
Over and over, God has shown me His way is the best way; one that is better than what we humans with limited vision can envision. I am happy not because the paper went through, but that God's answer to my prayer confirms His faithfulness. May the glory go to God.
The question on my mind is: God has been so good to me these past several weeks. He has met each and every one of my needs. So why is He choosing to show me His faithfulness now? There must be a reason why God allows the paper to be accepted this time. But, I just can't figure out what it is. Perhaps, God will grant me understanding in due time.

William & Syeffy’s wedding. I’ve gone to five weddings this year, and I have to say, this is one wedding that has brought tears of joy in me. Perhaps, my perspectives on marriage have changed due to Tim Keller’s marriage sermon series. I could sense God's presence as well as the mixed bag of emotions that the bride and groom were experiencing: the love, the joy, the peace, the happiness and the hope. A Christian wedding seems to bring everything to a higher level. It is not merely the joining of two people in love, but with a bigger and deeper meaning, to be purposeful by bringing glory and honor to God. A journey where two people are committed in making each other glorious, radiant and presentable when standing before God. Yeah, marriage is a wonderful gift from God.
