Heart of Worship. Lately, I feel hard-pressed. The kind of pressure that requires the wisdom that is beyond me. The kind of pressure that does not allow me to move forward, backward nor stay where I am. The kind of pressure that only God can help me. It feel as if God is testing my faith. As much as I pray for Him to deliver me, deep inside, I hear a voice that says "struggle with it, you are right where I want you". So I press on... I know I must persevere. BUT of course, you won't find a smile on my face.
This is the state that I was in as I went to Sunday morning worship. But as we sang one song after another; praising God and His greatness, my spirit was lifted up. As I "fix my eyes on Jesus" and reflected on what He has done and what He will do ("My Redeemer Lives"), everything that is weighing me down doesn't matter anymore. The more I lift up my voice, the more peace and joy I find. Yes, this is the heart of worship.
It is so true that:
The most unhappy people are people who focus on themselves.

I pray that I will have a heart of worship every moment of my life.
Happy Chinese New Year!
