Making the best of every moment. One of my coworker's father-in-law passed away couple weeks ago. I can sense much sadness in her face. I asked her how her husband's been taking it. She told me that "there is always a sense of guilt for not spending enough time with those passed away." As I reflected my relationship with my parents, I can relate to that guilt because I know I don't spend "enough" time with them as well. As I thought about it further, an even more scarier thought is: if I don't spend "enough" time with my heavenly Father in this life time, I will feel a guilt greater than any guilt that I will ever experience.

Perhaps, we will never be the perfect son or perfect daughter. But I know that in Christ, there is no guilt nor fear. If we believe in Christ, He is able to take our inadequacies and change it into a good thing. I just need to do my part to seek out every opportunity to be that "perfect" son. Currently, I am seeking God's guidance in which ministry I should focus my energy and time on for the upcoming year. I pray that God will lead me into a path in which every moment that I am alive, I will have lived a life that is most effective for His Kingdom.
